The visionary Fr. Sagayanathan who started a Community College at Sacred Heart Church, Richmond Road, the first of its kind in the Archdiocese of Bangalore for the marginalised and the drop outs, felt the same need to begin one at St. Patrick's. Thus, the birth of St. Patrick's Community College with the motto 'Including the Excluded' took place in July 2009, with 62 students, both boys and girls. Life coping skills, basic computers, spoken English, secretarial course are the main subjects taught in this college. During the tenure of one year excellent coaching is given so that they could complete their SSLC and either start working or continue their college studies, or both work and continue their studies in the evening college. Some excellent real-life stories have emerged to the credit of this new endeavour. Rags to riches stories are plenty. At present Mr. M.S. Swaminathan, a devout, dedicated and disciplinarian is the Director of the College.
